SortiPack® Cucumber
The cucumber sorting and packing process is labor-intensive which brings many challenges: labor costs and scarcity, worker management and virus risk.
SortiPack® decreases labor and can handle many types of customer packages simultaneously, so cucumber growers can focus on their produce.
SortiPack® Cucumber scans, grades and sorts every individual cucumber using Computer Vision and AI. Robots gently pick the cucumbers and place them into the customer packaging in the desired stacking pattern.
SortiPack® simultaneously packs multiple packages for different customers and selects cucumbers by weight or size. Completed customer packages are transported automatically to the palletizing area. A part of the cucumbers can also be redirected to manual packing stations for special packaging needs.
SortiPack® gathers data from all individual cucumbers for the best sorting and packing solution. Moving forward, data like size, volume, weight, origin and packing location can be used to optimize the supply chain; downstream for optimizing the yield and harvesting process, and upstream for track and traceability functionalities.
